Last week the Family Christian Store (FCS) chain announced it was filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection www.religionnews.com/2015/02/19/family-christian-stores-seeks-bankruptcy-protection/My comment on this: I think it is a shame that a family Christian bookstore chain would be forced into bankruptcy, but if the lack of business is due to limiting Christians to certain authors and theology, then good for Christians who don't feel inclined to support propaganda and censure when it comes to egalitarian choices in their homes churches and work places. I've been in FCS's many times and have never found a book on family life by an egalitarian author. Maybe Christians are finally getting tired of rows and rows of books by the same few best selling authors and would welcome fresh voices and choices in their Christian bookstores. I sure hope so.

I'd love to see someone open a Christian bookstore with a full range of books and topics by all good authors. Boy would they have to watch out if I opened a store. I'd have evening Bible studies by many different people ranging topics from patriarchal ideas to theological discussions and exposures of heresies, to basic doctrinal beliefs for all..... and so forth. I'd have tables and coffee available for people to talk, like Starbucks but not expensive coffee. Let's see perhaps a Christian coffeehouse and bookstore. hmmmm where could I move to that would support this. I think space to too expensive here. I'll have to think more about this. LOL
